Honey baked hams and chicken are two of the most popular ingredients in the United States.
They are both very tasty and often serve as a main dish in a meal.
But how do you make them?
Recipe Honey baked Hams and Chicken Recipe Ingredients 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, skin removed 1/4 cup finely diced onion 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 teaspoon dried thyme 2 teaspoons smoked paprika 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper Directions Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
Add chicken and cook, uncovered, until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Remove chicken to a plate.
Add onion and spices and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring often.
Add thyme, paprika, salt and pepper and cook about 5 more minutes.
Place chicken on plate and top with chicken mixture.
Place lid on pot and cook on low for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together honey, cumin, thyme and paprika.
Season chicken with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Serve chicken and honey baked ham over warm rice or a bed of broccoli, cauliflower, or any vegetable dish.
Honey baked Chicken Recipe 1 cup honey 1/3 cup chicken stock (or chicken broth) 1 cup milk 1/8 cup white vinegar 1/5 cup cornstarch 1/16 teaspoon kosher salt 1/32 teaspoon black pepper Directions In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, chicken stock, milk, white vinegar, cornstech, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, covered, for 15 minutes or until thickened.
Remove from heat and whisk in the cornstch.
Serve with chicken and a squeeze of lime wedges.
