This is one of my favorite recipes to make because it is simple, but will provide a nice taste to any holiday meal.
This honey-and-mustard sauce recipe makes about 4 cups.
I used a combination of whole wheat flour, almond meal, and tapioca starch.
I also added a little extra honey for a little more flavor.
I added 1/2 cup honey to the recipe and let it sit for about 15 minutes to add flavor.
You can also add a little less honey and add a dash of salt to taste.
Ingredients 4 cups whole wheat bread flour, 1 cup almond meal (I used tapiocash), 1 cup tapiococash flour, and 1/4 cup honey (or any other whole grain flour).
To make the honey mustard: Whisk the dry ingredients together.
Add the water to make it a thin batter.
Pour the batter into a shallow bowl.
Cover with a kitchen towel and let sit for 15 minutes.
The dough will rise and rise again.
The batter should be very soft and fluffy.
Cover and let rise for another 15 minutes or until it is almost doubled in size.
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet and cook for 5 minutes on each side.
Remove from the oven.
Add about 1 tablespoon honey to each chicken breast.
Sprinkle the chicken with the honey and top with honey mustard.
Serve with a drizzle of honey and a dollop of cream cheese.
Recipe Notes This recipe makes 4 cups of honey mustard for an 8-ounce serving.
If you want to serve your guests with more of the honey sauce, add a teaspoon or so of salt.
