Honey, buns, and the sweetest honey in the world.
It’s been a wild ride for Mariah since her debut album came out in 2005, and her new fragrance collection features the allure of wildflowers, the promise of flowers she loves to eat and the subtle hints of a new love for a little berry.
“Wild flowers are a part of my life and a part the way I make art,” Carey told the Associated Press in an interview.
“I’ve always wanted to make something with those flavors.”
A collection that looks like a natural berry scent is something Carey has been experimenting with for years, and now, she’s ready to take the next step.
Her newest fragrance, titled Honey Bee Drawing, comes out Friday, and it features the most intense honey bunnies, which she first planted in a small field in her backyard in North Carolina in 2014.
“It’s just a blend of wildflower notes, but with a little sweetness and sweetness of the berry,” Carey said.
“Then it’s a combination of flowers that are wild and berry-based.”
Carey’s collection has already been made into a berry fragrance for a variety of other brands, including Chanel and Gucci.
The scent is described as “a sweet, floral berry that gives off the perfect amount of vanilla, oakmoss, amber, patchouli and vanilla.”
“It really is an homage to wildflower and bergamot, and all of the wonderful things you can grow in the backcountry,” Carey added.
“There are so many different types of berry plants in the area and these are just some of the most delicious.”
